Helen Elliott
I paint from direct observation intuitively selecting, magnifying and playing with the transition of the solid object into a 2 dimensional form. Painting for me is both calculated and experimental. I work hard to strike a balance between realistic representation and emotive spontaneity endeavoring to communicate the inherent beauty of our natural world, albeit in the form of 5 tomatoes.
