Raine Gifford
I work primarily with watercolor and acrylic. I find inspiration in nature – plants, water, landscape. I am currently exploring themes which include: the significance of negative space and shadow; the juxtaposition of planned, ordered geometry with unpredictable, organic form; and simultaneously keeping, questioning and going beyond the pretty facade. I’m constantly inspired by and learning from the medium itself.
